Bardenay owner joins Idaho Human Rights Commission

Kevin Settles

Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter has appointed Kevin C. Settles, owner of Bardenay Restaurants and Distilleries, to the Idaho Human Rights Commission for a three-year term.

Settles will represent industry on the panel, which enforces state antidiscrimination laws. He succeeds Robert Bolinder, of Boise, whose term expired.

Settles is a member of the National Restaurant Association’s board of directors and is chairman of the association’s political action committee for 2013. He is past president of the Idaho Lodging and Restaurant Association and is board secretary of the Bogus Basin Recreation Association. He served on the governor’s Health Care Exchange Task Force and the Alcoholic Beverage Task Force, and was chairman of the state and federal government committees for the Boise and Sandpoint chambers of commerce.
