Idaho Farm Bureau specialist to head range society

Idaho Farm Bureau range and livestock specialist Wally Butler has been named to a one-year term as president of the Society for Range Management, headquartered in Denver.

Butler has been the farm bureau’s range and livestock specialist for 15 years. He is a salaried lobbyist at the farm bureau and works closely with bureau members. He joined the Society for Range Management while a student at University of Idaho, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in animal science and his master’s degree in range management.
