Republican Sen. Mike Crapo has promoted three employees and welcomed two new hires.
Judd Deere has been promoted from new media director to press secretary and digital director. Deere previously worked for Sen. John Boozman, R-Ark., and the Republican Party of Arkansas. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in political science and history from Lyon College in Batesville, Ark.
Kyra Maples has been promoted from staff assistant to deputy press secretary on the communications team. Maples earned her degree in political science from the University of Idaho and was an intern for Crapo during her junior year. She began working for Crapo full time after graduation.
Madeline Kroll, who joined Crapo’s staff after completing an internship in December, has been promoted to senior staff assistant and assistant scheduler. Kroll earned her bachelor’s degree in international studies and French from U of I.
Kellie McConnell has been hired as a legislative correspondent, handling health care, labor, telecommunications and social issues. McConnell most recently worked as a staff assistant for former Sen. Richard Lugar, R-Ind., and was an intern for Rep. David McKinley, R-W.Va. McConnell earned her Bachelor of Arts in religion from Denison University in Granville, Ohio.
Taylor Luczak has been hired as a staff assistant. Luczak most recently worked as an intern for Rep. Gregg Harper, R-Miss. Luczak earned his Bachelor of Arts in political science and Asian studies from Mississippi State University.
