Idaho wheat commissioner joins trade mission

Idaho Wheat Commissioner Ned Moon, of Heyburn, is representing Idaho wheat growers during a trade mission to Seoul, Korea; Taipei, Taiwan; and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, April 19 to 27.

Moon is traveling with Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter’s trade mission. During this mission, Moon will strengthen ties with Korean and Taiwanese customers and develop new customers in all three markets.

Moon is deputy of operations for Jentzsch-Kearl Farms, a 16,000-acre partnership that grows potatoes, sugar beets, wheat, hay and seed beans. He previously worked in retail and as manufacturing manager for an agricultural chemical company.

Moon earned his bachelor’s degree in communications from Brigham Young University.
