Michael Satz, associate dean in the University of Idaho College of Law, has been named interim dean. He fills the position vacated by Don Burnett, who has been named interim U of I president. U of I will conduct a national search for a permanent College of Law dean.
In this role, Satz is responsible strengthening communication and collaboration, advancing the Boise Law School initiatives, and pursuing fundraising efforts.
Satz has worked for U of I since 2006, when he became an associate professor at the College of Law. He earned tenure in 2011 and was named associate dean for faculty affairs in 2012. Before joining U of I, he worked for Nissan North America Inc. counsel.
Satz earned his bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Southern Methodist University in Dallas and his Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School.
