Grant sends Idahoan to teach in Africa

Idaho Falls resident Britni Storer has been awarded Travelocity’s Travel for Good Grant, which will enable her to travel to Africa to mentor, teach and aid children in impoverished areas of Tanzania and Kenya.

Travelocity awards the grant to one person each quarter.

Storer moved to China in 2009 to teach English at universities and ran private schools for children 4 and older. On her return, she became director of marketing at the Museum of Idaho for about three years. She also is a contributing author for Idaho Falls Magazine. She owns a glasswork studio, P.C. Creations, in the Willard Arts Center, and plans to open a marketing consulting agency when she returns from Africa.
