Idaho economic development experts to attend White House forum

The International Economic Development Council and SelectUSA have invited two Idaho economic development officers to attend the second annual White House Economic Development Forum Aug. 27.

IEDC board member Jan Rogers, who is executive director of Southern Idaho Economic Development, and Gynii Gilliam, Idaho Department of Commerce chief economic development officer, will represent Idaho at the forum. They will join 73 other economic development officers from around the United States.

The forum is part of a SelectUSA government-wide initiative to promote and facilitate U.S. business investment. It will focus on topics such as foreign direct investment, infrastructure investment, workforce development and access to capital for small businesses.
