Deb Kristensen named to Ninth Judicial Circuit Historical Society board

Deb Kristensen, partner at Givens Pursley in Boise, IdahoDeb Kristensen, a partner at Givens Pursley in Boise, has been elected to a three-year term on the Ninth Judicial Circuit Historical Society board of directors.

Kristensen is the first person from Idaho to be elected to the board, which comprises mostly appellate and trial judges, along with lawyers from throughout the Ninth Circuit. The board has fiduciary responsibility for governing the historical society.

Kristensen is a commercial litigator in state and federal courts. She was on the Idaho State Bar’s board of commissioners from 2002 to 2005, was Idaho State Bar president in 2005, and served in many other bar and civil organizations and committees over the years. She received the 2011 Exemplary Service Award from the Idaho Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and the 2013 Professionalism Award from the Idaho State Bar.

Kristensen earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California-Berkeley and her Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law.
