An online marketplace that sells U.S.-made products by women or by women-supported businesses is opening a Boise store.
RosieMade has leased an 832-square-foot space at 2033 N. 35th St. RosieMade Owner Alicia Vanderschuere said the space is small, but fit her budget and location needs. She wanted to be near the North End and downtown in a place with a “boutique feel.”
“I didn’t want a traditional mall space, with the mass merchant philosophy attached to it,” Vanderschuere said.
No improvements to the space were required, besides some interior painting. Half of the store will be devoted to operations, shipping and receiving, with product sales near the entrance. RosieMade opens Sept. 12 with Tuesday through Saturday hours. Special events and trunk shows are also slated for the storefront.
