White House honors Idaho refugee office director

Jan ReevesIdaho Office for Refugees Director Jan Reeves has been recognized as one of 10 Champions of Change by the White House.

The Champions of Change recognizes people who work to effectively integrate immigrants civically, linguistically and socially into the fabric of their neighborhoods.

Reeves has been involved with the Idaho Office for Refugees in Boise for more than 25 years, starting as a staff employment specialist in 1985. He has developed and implemented several service programs for refugees.

Reeves is a Vietnam veteran and received the 2010 Liberty Bell Award from the Idaho Fourth District Bar Association.
