The Spokane-based Swank Boutique will open a store in BoDo next month.

The company plans to open at 850 W. Broad St., next to the Lunatic Fringe salon. Owner Jody Mallonee said the 1,253-square-foot space will sell women’s clothing, jewelry, accessories, gifts and high décor items.

Swank Boutique is slated to open around Thanksgiving. Tenant improvements to the space will take about three weeks. DeBelloy Construction is the general contractor. Jeff Hatch is the architect. Construction costs aren’t being disclosed.

Mallonee has operated the Spokane location for five and a half years. She said presence of other stores in Boise’s downtown and the city’s growth attracted her to the area.

“Boise is really a happening place, and it was pretty much a no-brainer especially when we scouted out what other stores are in BoDo,” she said.

BoDo is currently home to the Loft, White House Black Market, and Urban Outfitters among a handful of other boutiques and galleries. Three to four people will work at Swank Boutique when it opens.
