The Idaho Partnerships Conference on Human Services has recognized four people for valuing people with disabilities as important contributors to their communities.
Barbara Hayhurst, of Lakevue Elementary in Nampa, won the Building Bridges Award. The award goes to someone who understands the value of inclusiveness and works to enhance individual perspectives and contributions.
Jason Spjute, of Boise, won the Opening Doors Award, for helping increase opportunities for people with disabilities to access their community.
Tracy Warren, of the Idaho Council on Developmental Disabilities in Boise, won the Plays Well with Others Award for bringing together community partners to enhance the lives of people with disabilities.
Marilyn Sword, retired from the Idaho Council on Developmental Disabilities, won the Commitment to Community Lifetime Achievement award for her lifetime contribution to enriching the lives of people with disabilities.
