On Nov. 4, Dr. Jacob Brown, of Castlebury Dental, paid $1 per pound of candy brought into his office by trick-or-treaters. The sweets will be sent to troops serving overseas.

Brown collected nearly 300 pounds of candy by giving away cash, children’s meals and glowing electric toothbrushes in exchange for excess Halloween sweets.

  1. It’s about time to teach kids that it is better to share their treats. Good Job Dr. Brown!

  2. Now that is really something to smile about. Fighting tooth cavity and giving a piece of home to our lonely troops overseas is really and genuinely a great idea. You have outdone yourself Dr. Brown!
