The Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce has named Kris J. Ormseth, managing partner of Stoel Rives Boise office, as its new chairman-elect of the board. He will take over as chairman in 2015.
In his practice, Ormseth represents significant public and private businesses in manufacturing, energy, technology, health care, financial services, real estate development and other industries. He also devotes a portion of his practice to representing promising emerging businesses.
Ormseth earned a Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University and his Juris Doctor from the University of California at Berkeley. He has served on the board of directors and executive committee for the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce since 2007.
Scott Kreiling, president of Regence BlueShield of Idaho, is the chamber’s incoming chairman of the board in 2014. Scott will take over for Candi Allphin, of U.S. Bank, who as chairwoman of the board in 2013 and will continue on the board as immediate past chairwoman.
