The National League of Cities has recognized Idaho Falls Mayor Jared D. Fuhriman for the completion of key health and wellness goals for Let’s Move! Cities, Towns and Counties. Four medals were awarded to Idaho Falls, including a bronze and silver medal in Goal I: Start Early, Start Smart; a bronze medal in Goal III: Smart Servings for Students; and a bronze medal in Goal V: Active Kids at Play.
Let’s Move! Cities, Towns and Counties is a major component of First Lady Michelle Obama’s comprehensive Let’s Move! initiative, which is dedicated to solving the childhood obesity epidemic within a generation.
