After a nationwide search, the city of Nampa has selected Criselda DeLaCruz-Valdez as executive director of the Family Justice Center. She has worked for the Family Justice Center since 2008 in various capacities. Before that, she was at Northern Virginia Family Services in Alexandria, Va.
DeLaCruz-Valdez received her undergraduate degree in social work from Boise State University and her master’s in social work from Northwest Nazarene University.
Former Executive Director Rebecca Lovelace, who helped open the Family Justice Center in 2004, left in October to become the director of strategic innovation for the Idaho Coalition Against Sexual & Domestic Violence.
