McIntosh named Idaho Press-Tribune editor

Scott McIntosh will take over as editor of the Idaho Press-Tribune on Feb. 12. He will be responsible for day-to-day operations and news decisions for the daily newspaper and will oversee the weekly Meridian Press and Emmett Messenger Index.

McIntosh comes to the Press-Tribune from The Argus Observer, the daily newspaper in Ontario, Ore., of which he was editor. He was the owner and editor of the Kuna Melba News from 2006 to 2011.

McIntosh has undergraduate degrees in newspaper journalism and English from Syracuse University. He has won 15 awards from the Idaho Press Club and 12 awards from the National Newspaper Association.

McIntosh replaces Vickie Holbrook, who left the Press-Tribune in early January after more than 34 years.
