After 18 years, former Governor, Cecil D. Andrus, has stepped down from his “of counsel” role with Gallatin Public Affairs. He is the only Idahoan elected governor four times and to serve in the president’s cabinet. He was Secretary of the Interior for the Carter Administration.
Since leaving the governor’s office in 1995, Andrus has served on various corporate and non-profit boards and has led the Andrus Center for Public Policy at Boise State University.
Gallatin partner, Marc C. Johnson, a former Gallatin president and managing partner of the firm’s Idaho office, will become “of counsel” to the firm. Marc will continue to advise clients but will also devote time to his blog www.manythingsconsidered.com, which features insights and analysis on politics, history and pop culture.
