The Boise School District appointed Clay “Coby” Dennis to deputy superintendent and Lisa Roberts to area director for Timberline High School.
Dennis has 24 years of experience with the district, working as an area director for Timberline and Capital High, junior high principal at Les Bois, assistant principal at Capital, Borah and North and secondary teacher at Borah and North. During this time he implemented programs such as grade-level teaming, a language arts remediation classroom and common preparation times for departments to foster better communication regarding curriculum, teaching strategies and data analysis.
Dennis has a BS in math and MA in educational administration from the University of Idaho. He will replace Pete Bailey, who retires in June.
Roberts worked as an elementary school teacher at Garfield, elementary school principal at Mountain View, Jackson and Morley Nelson and most recently as administrator of student programs.
She earned a BA in elementary education from Boise State University and an MA in educational administration from the University of Idaho. She replaces Matt Kobe, who will become the area director for the Capital High School quadrant.
