Filene Research Institute welcomes Kent Oram, CEO at Idaho Central Credit Union, to its research council. He joins 34 other CEOs from credit unions across the United States and Canada as members of the research council.
The research council helps plan the nonprofit’s research projects, volunteers to pilot Filene innovations at their credit unions, and works with Filene’s outside researchers to provide access and insights to the credit union system.
“The research council has played a crucial role in charting the future of cooperative finance since Filene’s beginnings 25 years ago,” said Mark Meyer, CEO at Filene, in a news release. Oram added, “I appreciate how this organization focuses on how financial institutions, especially credit unions, can keep adapting to the ever changing economic, legal, and social environments. The research they conduct is definitely applicable to us.”
Oram began his career at ICCU in 1984. He has been in his current position as CEO since 2007.
