Employees of Idaho Central Credit Union, Fred Meyer, and the cast and crew of Broadway’s biggest blockbuster Wicked sorted food at the Idaho Foodbank warehouse on Apr. 29.
This was the second occasion that the cast and crew of Wicked helped tackle hunger in Idaho. Earlier this month, there was a special performance of the hit musical to help raise funds for the Foodbank. Enough money was raised to provide the food for 100,000 meals.
“When you tour the country, you see there are still a lot of people who are struggling with hunger,” said Wicked actress, Laurel Harris, in a news release. “It feels good to give some of our time to help an organization like The Idaho Foodbank do the important work they do. It means a lot to give back.”
