Idaho Power crews greeted 18 volunteers for the company’s 10th annual Hells Canyon River Cleanup Day April 18. Volunteers met at Oxbow School, then spent the day picking up trash along the riverbanks and roads. Boaters took to the water to clean up spots along the reservoir not accessible from the road.
In the end, more than a yard of material, about half a dumpster full, was collected along with wire and old metal objects. Volunteers were treated to an appreciation barbecue.
