Good Works: Women gather to help the Idaho Youth Ranch

Three hundred and fifty white-clad women met May 8 at the Stueckle Sky Center for an Idaho Youth Ranch fundraising event, coordinated by Wine, Women & Shoes and presented by Glanbia Foods. It took 75 volunteers and 14 volunteer committees to put on the event, which featured wine tastings, local fare, silent and live auctions, a designer marketplace and a fashion show. Preliminary numbers indicate that more than $140,000 was raised.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Idaho Youth Ranch programs throughout the state. The event was sponsored by Washington Trust Bank, Jill Giese & Associates, Agri Beef Company, HUB International, Vertical Construction, Selway Asset Management, Trevor’s Trek Foundation, Eide Bailly LLP, Sondra and George Juetten, Alliance Title & Escrow Corp., IN Pink Fashion Jewelry, CliftonLarsonAllen LLP, Boise Co-op, Norco, D.L. Evans Bank, Ataraxis/Zipchex, Delta Dental of Idaho, Micron Foundation and Embrace Wellness. Wine sponsors were Justin, Landmark Vineyards, Basel Cellars Estate Winery, Telaya, Coiled, Ferrari, Huston Vineyards, O Wines, Frenchman’s Gulch and Da Ma Wines. Fashion partners were Boise State University Bookstore, Nomad Chic, Diana E Kelly, Nihsima, Proof, Piece Unique, American Clothing Gallery and Lululemon.
