Boise State University recently appointed Gerti Arnold, a Boise State alumna and advancement professional with more than 30 years of experience in higher education, as a senior director of development. She started her new job April 30.
Arnold leads the university’s major gift officers in their effort to build philanthropic partnerships with donors that support the university’s strategic initiatives, including student scholarships, its greatest need and top philanthropic priority. Arnold will also serve as one of two gift officers for the university’s College of Business and Economics.
With more than 15 years of experience specific to university advancement work, Arnold most recently served as the director of leadership giving at the University of San Francisco. She also previously held positions at the University of California Hastings College of Law and the University of Michigan. Early in her professional life, Arnold served as associate dean of admissions and director of university admissions counseling at Boise State.
She earned a BA in business administration from Boise State, an MA in education from Colorado State University and a Ph.D. in higher and postsecondary education from the University of Michigan.
