Jon Bart, Garry Beatty, and Donna Findlay have been elected to serve on the Idaho Youth Ranch board of directors.
Beatty, of Boise, has experience with information systems and technology from more than 30 years in the retail and civic IT management worlds. Garry was the first department head for information systems and technology hired by the City of Boise. He was formerly the director of the Boise Airport and the senior executive of IT for Sears Roebuck and Co. and Stater Brothers Markets. He served on the board for Goodwill Industries for 25 years.
Bart, also of Boise, has a background in non-profit and research. He is a research biologist at the Snake River Field Station for the United States Geological Survey as well as an adjunct professor in the Department of Biological Sciences for Boise State University. He served as president and CEO of Village Hope Inc.; chair of the Boise County Planning and Zoning Commission; chair and co-chair of numerous academic research teams; and founder of ARMS, a program providing free technical assistance to avian conservation projects.
Findlay, of Coeur d’Alene, has worked with community organizations including the Junior League, National Charity League, and H.E.L.P. of Southern Nevada. She is the co-owner of Findlay Automotive Group in Henderson, Nev. and founded Findlay Prep School with her husband Cliff Findlay.
She is vice president of the Mica Foundation, which has an official partnership with IYR to incorporate equine therapy into the treatment of boys at Anchor House in Coeur d’Alene.
