Jennifer Wagenaar has been appointed chief nursing officer for West Valley Medical Center. She is responsible for the delivery and development of hospital-wide patient care programs, as well as clinical policies and procedures. She identifies and implements opportunities throughout the hospital for the monitoring, evaluation and improvement of patient care.
Wagenaar has 14 years of rural healthcare experience with Sanford Health System, the largest rural, not-for-profit health system in the United States. Most recently she was CNO for the company’s Aberdeen Medical Center, in S.D.
She earned her BS in nursing from South Dakota State University and a MBA from the University of Sioux Falls.
