Jeff Newgard is new president and CEO of Bank of Idaho

Newgard croppedJeff Newgard, an executive vice president at HomeStreet Bank, has been appointed president and CEO of the Bank of Idaho, effective July 6.

Newgard will take over for Park Price, who has been president and CEO of the Idaho-based bank since 2003, a spokesman said in a prepared release. Price will remain chairman of the board.

Newgard was president and CEO of Yakima National Bank in Yakima, Wash., from 2005 until the bank was purchased by HomeStreet Bank of Seattle in 2013. He was executive vice president and eastern region president at  HomeStreet until his appointment by the Bank of Idaho’s board.

Newgard has a BA from Walla Walla College and an MBA from Washington State University. He’s also a graduate of the Colorado Graduate School of Banking.

The 30-year-old Bank of Idaho has branch offices in Idaho Falls, Pocatello, St. Anthony, Ashton and Island Park.It also has mortgage offices in Idaho Falls, Pocatello and Twin Falls.
