The Hispanic Business Association has awarded its 2015 Richard G. Cortez scholarships to students planning to continue their education at universities across the nation. This year’s 15 scholarships total $16,750. High school recipients will receive $750 each and college students will receive $1,250 each.
The HBA is dedicated to providing opportunities to Hispanic youth through education and mentoring. Since 1993, the organization has funded $328,250 in scholarships for 394 students with proceeds from corporate donations and the annual Richard G. Cortez Jalapeño Open Golf Tournament.
