A ceremonial check exchange between the Ada County Commissioners and Capital City Development Corporation was held on August 18 to celebrate the final payoff of the Ada County Courthouse. Commissioners presented an oversized check to CCDC in the amount of $36,002,815.63. This payoff completes the largest public-private partnership in Idaho history, which was achieved through a collaborative process that required no increase of property taxes to the citizens, as promised nearly 20 years ago. Making this purchase in FY2015 will save Ada County taxpayers approximately $6 million in future interest on the building.
