Meridian City officials cut the leash at Storey Bark Park

Storey Bark Park, Meridian’s first dedicated dog park, held a leash-cutting ceremony during its grand opening August 12. The dog park is located behind Meridian’s Storey Park and has separate small dog and large dog areas, featuring agility obstacles donated by Intermountain Pet Hospital & Lodge. Pictured here are Parks and Recreation Director Steve Siddoway (back), Hannah Chambers (with big scissors: right) of Meridian Youth Advisory Council, Mayor Tammy de Weerd (center), Councilman David Zaremba (third from right), Councilman Keith Bird (far right) along with Parks and Recreation Commissioners took part in the official leash-cutting ceremony.
