During Axiom fitness club’s “Make-A-Wish May” program, a portion of each new membership enrollment was donated to Make-A-Wish Idaho. This year, the new membership donations, along with a silent auction, raised $13,826 for the charity.
In June, the gym’s employees formed three teams for the Walk for Wishes event. The group raised $20,000 for Make-A-Wish by gathering participants and holding internal competitions to raise funds.
The bulk of the Walk for Wishes event took place at the Axiom Parkcenter club, including the start and finish line, a silent auction, and a free Zumba warm up by certified Axiom fitness instructors.
“We’ve seen firsthand the impact granted wishes have on the wish children and their families,” said JP Green, president of Axiom. “Knowing we helped create a worry and stress-free moment is extremely rewarding.”
The average cost to grant a wish in Idaho is $6,500. The donations from Axiom will help grant more than five wishes to Idaho children.
