The Greater Boise Rotary Foundation presented the non-profit Boise WaterShed Exhibit, Inc. with a $17,000 donation on Sept. 1. The money will fund a groundwater exhibit as part of the city’s planned 3-acre hands-on outdoor interpretive area at the Boise WaterShed River Campus.
The donation is the Greater Boise Rotary Foundation’s largest since forming in 1984. “At the latest Rotary International Water Summit, the focus was on water, sanitation and hygiene in schools,” said Boise Rotary Club Executive Director Nancy Chinn. “Locally, the Greater Boise Rotary Foundation members believe that by teaching elementary students about our groundwater now, the future of our water supply will be in good hands as they become our leaders.”
