Idaho grocery chain Ridley’s to purchase struggling Colorado market

The Idaho grocery chain Ridley’s is purchasing the struggling Bella’s Market in Wellington, Colo.

The Fort Collins Coloradoan reported that Ridley’s Family Market announced Nov. 5 that it will be purchasing the Wellington store and making it the 27th Ridley’s in the mountain states and first in Colorado.

Bella’s President and CEO Sam Mancini announced Oct. 22 that it would sell the Bella’s Markets in Wellington and Gypsum, Colo. The stores had been running half-full for months, causing complaints in their respective communities.

It is not clear when the Jerome, Idaho-based Ridley’s will take over the Wellington Bella’s.
