The Owyhee will add a 1,500-square-foot, ground-floor event space as Kindness restaurant moves out of the space by April 26.

The Café, as the space will be known, will join The Owyhee arsenal of Ballrooms A, B and C on the second floor and the penthouse as meeting rooms and event spaces, General Manager Thomas Felter said.

Kindness opened in July 2014 but stopped dinner service in December to focus on catering. It gave official notice to Owyhee management Jan. 1. Kindness will continue Sunday brunch at The Owyhee until April 24.

“We are not making any overtures or looking for any users as a restaurant space,” Felter said.

The Café will be a 1,500-square-foot meeting space available starting in May. Ballrooms A and B each are 1,300 square feet and Ballroom C is 2,500 square feet. All three ballrooms can be combined into one space. The penthouse offers 2,000 square feet.
