The Women’s and Children’s Alliance held a groundbreaking April 7 at the site of its new shelter. Donors, WCA board members and the Boise City Council attended. The new shelter will consist of 16 transitional units as well as office and storage space. To fund the project, the WCA Board undertook a $1.8 million dollar capital campaign last April. It has just over $150,000 left to reach its goal.
