Cynthia “Cy” Gearhard, MN, BSN, RN, has been promoted to chief nursing officer and vice president of patient care services for St. Luke’s Health System.
Gearhard has been with St. Luke’s for more than 30 years. She began her career as a registered nurse, became a clinical nurse specialist and then assumed the role of director of the coronary care/cardiac observation unit.
She has also served as administrator of St. Luke’s Heart and Vascular Services, where she provided oversight for St. Luke’s heart programs. Since 2014, she has served as chief nursing officer and vice president of patient care services for St. Luke’s West Region.
In her expanded role, Gearhard will be responsible for all nursing practice throughout the health system. She will have direct oversight of the center for nursing excellence, nursing administration, staffing, scheduling, home care and hospice, and St. Luke’s-Elk’s Rehabilitation.
