Kevin Learned named to Angel Capital Association

Kevin Learned croppedKevin Learned has been elected to the national board of the Angel Capital Association, effective July 1.

Learned has been an active angel investor, is past president of the Boise Angel Alliance, has invested in and been administrator of three angel funds, and is a partner in Loon Creek Capital Group, which assists communities in creating angel funds. He has been involved with angel funding of more than 30 companies.

Trained as a certified public accountant, Learned is a co-founder of Learned-Mahn, a Boise software company that supplied software nationwide to the banking and hospital industries. He earned a doctorate in entrepreneurship, was a college professor and later associate dean of the business school at Boise State University, and was the president of the College of Idaho. He served as a counselor in the Idaho Small Business Development Center in the Boise State College of Business and Economics for six years and is founding director of Venture College at Boise State, a co-curricular program in entrepreneurship for students of all disciplines.

Learned has a BA in economics from Yale, an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a doctorate from Texas Tech University.

The ACA offers professional development, public policy advocacy and benefits and resources to its membership of more than 13,000 accredited investors, who invest individually or through 240 angel groups, accredited platforms and family offices.
