Idaho Central Credit Union is opening two branches in northern Idaho.

ICCU only has one operating branch in the northern part of the state. The branch is in Coeur d’Alene and it was acquired when ICCU merged with Public Employees Credit Union in June 2015.

The two new branches are in: Post Falls, opening in November; and in Hayden. It’s not yet known when the Hayden branch will open, said Laura Smith, ICCU’s public relations manager

Idaho Central Credit Union’s growth isn’t completely focused on northern Idaho. The credit union opened a new branch in Pocatello in April and will open a new branch in Caldwell in August.

“We are focusing our growth wherever our members’ needs are and north Idaho is one of those areas for us,” Smith said.

ICCU has 27 branches, most of them in southern Idaho between Caldwell and Rexburg.

The credit union was founded as a state-chartered credit union in 1940 and is headquartered in Chubbuck. It has more than 700 employees and 225,000 members.

ICCU manages more than $2.5 billion in assets, Smith said.
