Thousands of skateboarders, fans and community leaders gathered August 6 in Boise to celebrate the grand opening of Rhodes Skatepark and Element 304 Americana. The celebration included a collaborative mural facilitated by graffiti artist Michael Kershnar, a skate jam and the largest ever Element team demo and signing. A portion of the sales from the Element 304 Americana skate shop’s opening day will be donated to the Boise Skateboard Association. In addition, Elemental Awareness Foundation and the Boise Rescue Mission gave complete skateboard sets to 25 underserved children.
