American Falls High School will receive Idaho State University’s old scoreboard after the Idaho Potato Commission donated a new $500,000 scoreboard to the university. The new scoreboard will be in action for ISU’s first football game Sept. 3.

American Falls High School student Dawson Winder acquired ISU’s old scoreboard for American Falls as part of his senior class project.

“My coach told me he heard that ISU was getting new scoreboards and it was worth a shot to see what they are doing with the old ones,” said Winder, who plays football for his school. “I just looked at our old scoreboard and it is pretty beat up and old and I wanted to leave a mark on my school for the last year I was there.”
