The College of Idaho has hired Genny Gerke as its first full-time outdoor programs director.
Gerke is a former cross-country runner at the Caldwell liberals arts college and has a master’s degree from the University of Idaho.
She previously worked as an environmental education instructor at the MK Nature Center; as volunteer program coordinator at Zoo Boise; as education specialist/volunteer coordinator at the Peregrine Fund; as a fire prevention technician/firefighter for the US Forest Service and as a mobile environmental education instructor at the McCall Outdoor Science School .
