Prior to joining St. Luke’s, Watson worked at Providence Health & Services in Portland, Ore., where he served as director of marketing for all Providence facilities in Oregon, as well as the system director of brand covering five states.
For most of his career, Watson has worked in health system marketing, including work in Wyoming as well as in Tennessee and Virginia. He has a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree focused on health care communication. Watson also completed a two-year healthcare executive fellowship with The Advisory Board Company, a think-tank based in Washington, D.C.
Prior to entering marketing, Watson worked as a newspaper reporter covering politics in Tennessee and served as a Peace Corps volunteer teaching English in Africa.
