The Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine (ICOM) has granted the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center  $500,000 to establish an internal medicine residency, the first of its kind for the Idaho Falls-based hospital. ICOM will also help pay for three additional residency programs at the hospital, including family medicine, over the next three years.

The three-year internal medicine residency program at EIRMC will accommodate 10 new residents each year and begins July 1, 2018.
