Harold Blackman has been named interim vice president for research and economic development at Boise State University. Blackman replaces Mark Rudin, who is leaving Boise State to take the position of president at Texas A&M University-Commerce. Prior to joining Boise State in 2012, Blackman served as the director of research for the materials and fuels complex at the Idaho National Laboratory. He has 34 years of experience in research and education initiatives in the West.
Blackman holds a doctorate degree in educational psychology, a master’s degree in educational psychology and a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from Arizona State University.
