The Idaho Business Review celebrated some of the state’s top innovators, trailblazers and visionaries at the inaugural ICON awards on August 7.

Sixteen community leaders were recognized at a happy hour party at Boise Centre East. IBR’s first class of ICON award winners represents a diverse mix of industries, including banking, healthcare, entrepreneurship, law, technology and the arts. The award is open to those age 50 and over who have demonstrated a track record of leadership, professional accomplishments, community service and vision.

“This year’s honorees define an ICON as giving more than you take, serving before leading, respecting those who have gone before you, and believing success is not just monetarily measured but is the sum of effort, opportunity, risk and learning from experiences along the way,” IBR Associate Publisher Cindy Suffa said at the awards presentation.
