GabyThomason has joined Preservation Idaho as program director. Thomason has experience in the protection, maintenance, and development of cultural and historical ideas, artifacts, and architecture in Boise and internationally. During her undergraduate years, she interned with the curator at the Idaho State Historical Museum. In 2011, she studied Italian architecture and art in Viterbo, Italy and in 2013, she joined the Pompeii Post-Excavation Project with Boise State professor Katherine Huntley.
Thomason holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Boise State University and a master’s degree in classical studies from Glasgow University in Scotland. Her research focuses on the intersection of memory and history and the ways that modern audiences respond and benefit from their interactions with the past.
