EAGLE – Treasure Valley movie buffs have a new place to take in a film.

The newly erected 28,301-square-foot Luxe Reel Theatre celebrated its grand opening on Dec. 20 with a Star Wars and Frozen-themed party.

Located at 170 E Eagles Gate Drive in Eagle, it’s the first movie theater in the fast-growing Treasure Valley community and the latest addition to The Bridges at Lakemoor, which also includes eateries, fitness studios and the headquarters of time tracking software producer TSheets.

Boise developer Hawkins Companies is behind the 25.5 acre Bridges at Lakemoor, a development that broke ground in 2016.

The new Luxe will offer up “the newest in first-run movie releases,” according to a press release from parent company Reel Holdings, LLC.

The new 11-screen theater is furnished 100% with fully electric recliner seating. The projection systems use the newest laser technology, while the sound systems are the highest level Dolby Digital components.

It’s the latest in a rebranding effort for Reel Holdings, LLC, which is renaming its first-run theaters to “Luxe Reel Theatre” to highlight their upscale amenities.

Reel Holdings also has several discount locations that screen older films. The Reel Theatres brand encompasses a total of six theaters in Idaho, one in Anderson, California, one in Richfield, Utah, and one in Ontario, Oregon.
