Robert Odenthal has been selected to serve as the chief of security at College of Eastern Idaho (CEI). Odenthal has been providing campus security as an armed sheriff security officer for a college in California for over 10 years. During his tenure, he worked closely with campus staff to create policy and safety protocols to benefit staff and students. He was trained by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department on active shooter response, has been trained in emergency management, and was an integral part of his college’s emergency response team. He comes to CEI with several certifications and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in homeland security and counterterrorism.
Fernando Sandoval has been selected to serve as the senior coordinator, Job Corps at College of Eastern Idaho. Sandoval comes to CEI with a master’s degree in public administration from Idaho State University and years of experience with governmental agencies and nonprofit organizations. He has spent the last few years working as a rehabilitation consultant where he has honed his skills and abilities in leadership, management, communication and problem- solving.
