After nearly 40 years serving the Boise community, Terry Kopp, director of sales for the Boise Convention and Visitors Bureau, has retired. Upon her departure, the Boise CVB has announced several staffing changes, including an internal promotion and a new hire to focus on sports sales.
Upon Kopp’s retirement, the Boise CVB looked inward to appoint its new director of sales, promoting Andrew Heidt. He joined the Boise CVB team in April 2018 as a sales manager where he was responsible for bringing meeting, convention and reunion business to the Boise area. As the director of sales, Heidt will oversee a sales team of three and be driving a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy designed to bring conventions, sporting and special events to stimulate tourism in the Boise area.
The Boise CVB hired Brandon Fudge to the sales team as the new sports sales manager. In this role, he will be responsible for researching, developing and bidding on the use of Boise facilities for new sporting, special events and other meeting/convention business in the Boise area. He was appointed to the position after an extensive search and interview process. He joined the Boise CVB staff full time in June. He is a Boise State University graduate and completed a bachelor’s degree in media-journalism in 2015 and continued on for his Master of Athletic Leadership in 2017. During graduate school, he worked as an intern for the Bronco Athletic Association. Since graduation, he has worked with the University of Wyoming Athletic Department as a development officer and at Bronco Athletics as assistant director of development and community outreach coordinator.
