Teresa Koeppel, now global director for communication, marketing and engagement for Compass Group at Google, has been appointed chief marketing officer for the University of Idaho, as well as executive director of University Communications and Marketing. Koeppel, whose career has focused on engaging audiences in organizations’ missions and impact, will join the university on Nov. 9. Koeppel will apply her experience to build upon the University of Idaho’s reputation and further strengthen its relationship with students and prospective students, parents, communities across Idaho and other important internal and external audiences.
Previously, Koeppel spent many years in higher education helping audiences understand the impact of and engaging them in institutional growth and success. At the University of Washington, she served as the director for campaign communication and as the senior director for communications and engagement at UW Medicine Advancement. At the Washington State University Foundation, she served as director for marketing and communication.
